Regaining Kenya citizenship is for Kenyans either born in Kenya or abroad before 27th August 1987 and who acquired citizenship of other countries before 27th August 2010.

  • An application for a passport cannot be submitted concurrently with an application to Regain Kenya citizenship

  • Incomplete applications will not be processed and will be rejected.

  • Two dully filled application Form

  • Two copies of Naturalization Certificate

  • Two copies of applicant's Kenyan Passport

  • Two copies of applicants Foreign Passport

  • Two copies of applicants Birth Certificate

  • Two copies of parents' ID/Passport copy

  • Two copies of documentary proof for changed names

  • Submit duly completed dual declaration form and the required documents together with your regaining citizenship form.

  • Payment of NAD 822.96 in form of postal order payable to Kenya High Commission to be sent with the application

  • A secure, registered and trackable self-addressed envelope with pre-paid postage stamps for the dispatch of their critical documents. The envelope should have sufficient return postage and clearly indicates full names and postcode of the applicant.
